our new EU project
We are proud to announce the beginning of our new project titled Development of Digital
Forms of Learning and New Certification Programs in the Field of Arboriculture and Urban
Forestry at the SE Europe Level, co-funded by the European Union program Erasmus+, Key
Action 2: Cooperation Partnership. The project duration is 24 months. It is implemented in
collaboration of three organizations, project coordinator, Urbani šumari d.o.o. (Croatia), and
two partner organizations, Český svaz ochránců přírody Arboristická akademie (Czech
Republic) and European Arboricultural Council (Germany). The project lump sum is EUR
250.000,00.
Project’s primary target groups are
Participating organizations involved in the development of project results; staff of participating organizations, trainers working in participating organizations, volunteers, legal representatives.
Vocational trainers ready to access the new digital methods of training and those who provide vocational courses in synergy with the forestry sector.
Young people and adults who want to acquire the title of European Tree Worker and receive professional training in the field of arboriculture and urban forestry.
The project’s objectives are the following
- To contribute to the process of digitalization and digital transformation of vocational
education and training in the field of arboriculture and urban forestry through the
establishment of a virtual certification center. - To increase the quality of work of involved organization and institutions and respond
to the joint needs in the forestry sector at the Southeast Europe level (EQF Level 3) by
developing a certification program in the field of arboriculture. - To adapt the existing vocational education and training programs for the European
Tree Worker profession for the SE Europe area; thus, achieving a positive and long-
lasting effect of organizations and institutions that provide trainings in the field of
arboriculture. - To contribute to the long-term improvement of the education system in the fields of
urban forestry and arboriculture through the creation of a unified European publication
and auxiliary digital tools. - To increase the awareness of stakeholders (local authorities) in the training system and
spatial planning of the need to promote ecological sustainability in accordance with
the EU policies and strategic planning of green space. - To strengthen the involved organizations for international action and better work with
stakeholders through the exchange of good practices.
